Announcing Jumbula Attendance & Dismissal App (Version 2.0)
We are happy to announce the release of the updated Jumbula mobile app, version 2.0. The previous version was mainly designed to record instructor check-in time (with GPS location) and take student attendance. The updated version includes several new features for dismissal, reporting, and improved communications. This blog will provide a short tutorial video and a series of in-app screen shots highlighting the main features.

Once instructors sign into the mobile app, they will see a list of all the classes/programs they have been assigned to. In the example below, you see two seasons, “Music Summer 2017” and “Sport Summer 2017”, and the individual classes under each season.
After you click on a particular class, you will then see a list of all registered students. In this example you will notice we are in the “Soccer” class.
When instructors click on a students name, they will see the students profile with all their relevant information.
Regularly the first step would be to have the instructor check-in to the class. This means they are present and starting the session.
- First step is selecting the class
- Second the instructor will click on the three dots icon on the top right-hand corner
- Third and last they click on the “Instructor check-in” option
- Location and time will be recorded (see example below)
Once the instructor has selected the class, they click on the “Attendance” icon located at the bottom of the screen. This will display the list of students so they can continue with taking attendance.
- Instructors will be able to select from three options; Present, Late, or Absent
- Once the selection is completed for all students the instructor will click on the top right-hand check mark
- This will complete and record attendance (see example below)
Once class is completed instructors will have the option to use the Dismissal function. Depending on predetermined dismissal options, they will be able to see dismissal information and sign the students out.
Once dismissal is submitted you can click on the dots next to a student and see the recorded information.
Under reports instructors will have access to the class roster. The Roster report provides a variety of details about each student, such as grade, teacher, dismissal information and medical information
Instructors will have access to the Dismissal report, this will show them all the data collected from the dismissal function.
Instructors will also be able to directly send emails from within the mobile app.
We encourage you to download our new mobile app and take it for a spin. If you have any questions or would like to send feedback please contact our support team at email@example.com.
To your success,
The Jumbula Team
